Share LOVE With our Neema Students this Valentine's Day!

As our 30 new and returning students settle into life at Neema, our prayer is that they’d know beyond all doubt that they’re loved, especially as they begin processing and healing from past wounds and building trusting relationships. One way we instill this truth is through our counseling process. Irene, our Residential Department Administrator shares why it’s important:

“It will help our students deal with their inner world as they gain control over feelings of fear, anger, depression, and guilt - they will change their thinking patterns from self-hate, worthlessness, and distrust. Counseling will help them alter unhealthy behaviors such as avoidance, blaming, panicking, fighting, and unforgiveness. It will help them make effective choices, take responsibility, and above all, they will know how God loves each of them unconditionally. He knows each of them by name and does not look at their mistakes."

Third-year student Jentrix says, "I have learned to stay with people while at Neema. I used to rarely share with others and lived in isolation. But I have learned to smile from Neema and I am so excited that God has changed me so much - I feel completely different."

This Valentine’s Day, you can empower our Kenyan staff with the tools they need to continue doing this life-transforming work by providing two new laptops. Will you help them raise $1200 so they can purchase these computers for Neema’s counseling department? Click the support button below and check our social media stories for live updates on our fundraising progress!

Trauma counseling, and the healing that takes place because of it, is a rarity in Kenya. But it’s made possible at Neema because of people like you who continue to invest in love with your support. And for that, we’re grateful. Thank you!
