Day 6 - On Generosity
Father, may our Kenyan family at Neema continue to teach us foolish and distracted Westerners of your generosity found in sharing time.
When considering the meaning and provision of generosity in my own life, I confess that I selfishly allocate according to my limited "free time."
Mark Buchanan in his book the Rest of God blew me up on this narrow view by flatly stating "generous people have more time. That's the irony: those who sanctify time and who give time away-who treat time as gift and not possession-have time in abundance".
My guess is that being generous also leads to an abundance of joy. Are you time and "joy" deficient? Pray today for your own Generosity especially in being more generous in giving of your time. God will bless you as you bless others.
