30 DAYS OF PRAYER - DAY 22
"The ransomed of the Lord will enter... with singing; everlasting joy will crown their heads... and sorrow and sighing will flee away."
Isaiah 51:11-12
Joy is not gush.
Joy is not mere jolliness.
Joy is perfect acquiescence - acceptance, rest - in God's will, whatever comes. Jesus, our Lord, took God as His God as well as His Father, and that brought Him to say His delight was "to do the will of Him who sent me" (John 6:38) - even though that meant the cross and such agony as no man has ever known. To do the will of God cost Him blood.
My Father, with the lifeblood of Jesus... You bought JOY for me and our NEEMA girls... You bought strength in the day of our trouble... Thank you for sending so many others to walk the path of faith ahead of us... we pray that our NEEMA girls will keep seeking You... following You!
