The Impact of Love in Relationships at Neema

While Valentine’s Day is full of love, we can’t help but remember those who are in great need of love, and those who may never have experienced genuine love before. For many of the young women who join our program, Neema becomes a safe haven, a place of unconditional kindness and love where our faithful staff team loves all the girls and their children.

One of our first year students, Catherine, recently shared, "Being at Neema is reducing my stress because of the love they are showing me and my child. Ever since I gave birth to my child, no one has loved and accepted us like Neema has."

Our students witness first hand that the love they experience at Neema is a result of our staff team knowing the deep love of Christ. “We love because he first loved us.” (1 John 4:19). And they’re encouraged to create and maintain healthy relationships with their peers and teachers, with community members and their families, with their Grace Partners, and with God. 

Then, when they return to their families on breaks, the love they experience in these relationships is multiplied, and they begin to share that love back into their own communities. Their behavior is noticed to be much more helpful, positive, and generous.
