Our Students' Anthem
I am who God says I am because my identity is in Christ. And who does God say I am?
I am accepted because He was condemned. Because in Him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace. I was dead in my sin, but I have been made alive in Christ.
And if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away. Behold, the new has come! He says, “Behold, I am making all things new.
I have been set free in Christ. I am no longer a slave to fear. For God has not given me a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind.
I am a child of God and I have been sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise. He set me apart at birth.
I am an overcomer because greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world. I may encounter many defeats, but I will not be defeated. Every day is a second chance.
I am beautiful. I am fearfully and wonderfully made. My body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who dwells in me. I will therefore not dishonor my body through drugs, prostitution, and other ungodly ways.
I am a branch of the true vine and a conduit of Christ’s life. I will therefore remember my creator in the days of my youth.
I am God’s light. I am delivered from the power of darkness and translated into the kingdom of God’s own Son. I will therefore arise and shine for my light has come and the glory of the Lord has risen upon me.
I therefore declare that I will endure until the end, for the end of a matter is better than its beginning, and patience is better than pride.
So I choose to believe that:
I am free
I am accepted
I am loved
I am valuable
I am worthy
I am beautiful
I am strong
