Elizabeth’s Journey: Rediscovering Hope in Life
Elizabeth attended primary school but had to drop out of secondary school when her guardian—who took her in after her mother passed away—couldn’t afford to pay for her school supplies. Today, because of the impact you’ve made, she shares:
"Neema is helping my dreams come true, and the lost hope is being restored. Most of the things I am receiving at Neema I never thought I would have in my life. I’ve been able to have a second family that loves me and wishes me well. Above all, I am gaining a skill that will help me throughout my life."
Your Generosity Fills Her Toolbox
Students at Neema all begin with a foundational certification in dressmaking. After that, they now have the option to pursue training in catering or agribusiness or to continue with a specialization in dressmaking. This flexibility allows students to align their education with their interests and market demand.
By earning nationally recognized certifications in these different fields, students are better prepared to adapt to shifting job markets, increasing their employability and financial independence. This adaptability is crucial in an evolving economy where multiple skills can provide greater security. Some might even choose to combine a dressmaking shop with a catering side business to increase their income.
