5. Naomi, now a graduate from Neema, grew up in extreme poverty. She had to drop out of school because of her teenage pregnancy. Despite immense tragedy and loss in her life, Naomi has persevered! She now says, "Neema changed my perspective of life. Having dropped out of school due to early pregnancy, I thought life had come to an end since I was struggling to raise my child. But through counseling at Neema I accepted myself and gained hope again. I learned how to read the Bible and pray. I can even teach my children the word of God. When I came to Neema, I used to do manual work for us to eat. But after gaining skills at Neema, I started my business which has helped me to provide for my family."

6. Elizabeth and Tabitha, Class of 2026, stand in the walkway at Neema’s new campus. Elizabeth says, “Neema is helping my dreams come true and lost hope is being restored. Most of the things I’m receiving at Neema, I never thought I would have in my life. I have a second family that loves me and wishes me well.[Coming to] Neema is my answered prayer. It is all I prayed for. I will use the opportunity God has given me.”

7. Priscillah, Class of 2025, and her daughter Shantel stand at Neema’s new campus. Last year alone, thanks to supporters like you, we were able to provide crucial care like a tongue-tie surgery for Shantel. Her mother Priscillah says, "I used to be very stressed about my daughter’s condition. Not being able to speak or even walk, but I feel so happy that Neema gave me an opportunity to treat my daughter. She is able to talk and walk now!"

8. Ann, Class of 2025, collects fresh water at Neema’s new campus. Listen to her explain how inaccessible water was for her and her family growing up, and how Neema’s new borehole has been helpful for our students. Our well also enables us to share clean water with the local community and farm vegetables and fruits throughout the year.

10. New students and their guardians attend a training day at Neema in December which teaches them about God's character, his heart of unconditional love for each of us, and his guidance despite our past experiences. 47 guardians attended this event, helping to restore relationships and encourage forgiveness. “From today’s teaching I’ve been able to forgive my daughter for the first time,” said the father of one of our incoming students.
