Ways to Give

Although our campus has been completed, we still have to raise the rest of the funds to pay a generous donor who enabled construction to begin ahead of schedule. We need people like you to help so that the impact in the lives of these young women and children can double in the years to come!

What role will you play in securing a vulnerable young woman’s future?

GIVE A ONE-TIME GIFT

Giving a one-time gift during the Securing Her Future campaign gets us closer to reaching our total goal. One-time gifts of any amount help make a difference!

GIVE A special designated gift

Designate your gift to fund a project component that’s close to your heart. Neema will be pleased to acknowledge your gift on a commemorative plaque bearing your name at our new campus in Kenya. See below >

Designated Gift Opportunities

Designating your gift to one of the buildings that’s close to your heart and we’ll acknowledge your donation on a plaque.

3 Classrooms; $30,000 each

Provide a classroom so our certified teachers can prepare students to take three levels of national certification dressmaking exams (NITA) and empower them to start a business or get a job after Neema.

3 Residences; $40,000 each

Cover the cost of safe housing for these young women and their children. This will give them a sense of security during their three years at Neema—the time it takes for holistic transformation to take place.

$15,000 total cost

Build a safe area for children to play, rest, and learn while their mothers are studying or working in the Neema shop. The older children are taught songs, words, and prayers by our loving childcare givers.

$20,000 total cost

To increase the safety and hygiene of our students, we’ll build indoor showers and restrooms. That way, they won’t have to walk outside at night. Outdoor toilets and laundry area will also be available.

$10,000 total cost

The young women at Neema receive three healthy meals per day. Our new smoke-free kitchen will be equipped with high-efficiency wood stoves to cook these meals faster. It will also provide a spacious and clean environment for the catering classes.

2 Counseling Rooms; $10,000 each
(One remaining!)

Through the privacy of a counseling room, our students will be provided with individual and group counseling to help them deal with past trauma. We’ll work with their guardians as well to change students’ home environments.

$35,000 total cost

In this new community room, students will engage in daily devotionals: learning from our chaplain and staff, studying Scripture, and singing. We’ll also invite the community for worship, workshops, and celebrations.

Securing Lydia’s Future

Lydia came from an unstable family living in abject poverty and had to drop out of school in 7th grade. By the time she joined Neema in 2017, she had three children. But while there, she received counseling and was able to forgive herself and others who had hurt her. She was a hard worker in class and says she was able to concentrate because her heart was now free.

After graduating in 2019, she started working and saving, and eventually opened her own shop. Today, she supports herself, her kids, and her parents, and when she gets lots of work, she hires other Neema alumni to work for her! And because of Neema’s alumni program, she’s continuing to receive counseling and support.

“I came to Neema for the skills—to help in my future. Now that I’ve finished, I want to grow business-wise and teach others.”

- LYDIA, ALUMNI CLASS OF 2019
